Jen Jahnke is a business and human rights specialist with nearly 20 years experience in both the private and public sector. She started her career at the USDOL Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) managing global technical assistance programs. Later, she worked for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Forced Labor Division (FLD) on forced labor import regulations. In the private sector, Jen worked for Amazon's Worldwide Social Responsibility team, and later as a Consultant specializing in regulatory requirements, human rights due diligence (HRDD) systems, escalations, collaborative remediation, and supply chain traceability.
Duncan is a forced labor and human trafficking expert, with extensive experience in human rights and global supply chains. Duncan currently teaches at USC Dornsife Wrigley School Institute of Environment and Sustainability and previously at Princeton, Georgetown, and the National Defense University.
Jacqueline Aguilar is a lived experience expert with child labor in the agricultural sector. She is currently studying social work with an emphasis in Spanish at Adams State University. She previously interned with the Child Labor Coalition, where she advocated for child farmworkers.
Dr. Nicki Gonzales is the Vice Provost of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Professor of History at Regis University. She specializes in the history of the American West. Nicki served as the first Latina State Historian from 2021-22 and she has chaired and currently sits on the Colorado Governor's Naming Advisory Board.
Nadia is the Director of Advocacy Services at HopeWorks of Howard Co. Inc. She works closely with Maryland, C.C. and Virginia based survivors of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. Nadia is fully trained in trauma-informed interventions and national best practices.
The Tendai Initiative is a labor of love on behalf of Tendai Jahnke, who died in 2020 at the age of 17 from a fentanyl overdose. Jen Jahnke, the Founder, his mother, and a business and human rights specialist uses this platform to carry forward his passion for social justice and racial equity and to honor his memory.
